Thai Chili Chicken



1)  6 chicken legs, split
2)  1 c sweet chili sauce
3)  4 T soy sauce
4)  2 T fish sauce
5)  2 t ground ginger or freshly grated ginger
6)  1 T lemon or lime juice
7)  1 t salt
8)  4 cloves garlic, pressed
9)  1 onion, finely chopped or 6 green onions, sliced (optional)

Mix  2)  to  8)
Marinate chicken pieces in baking pan for about 1 hour.
Saute onion if using in a little oil till transparent.
Remove chicken and brown in a little oil till skin is crisp and slightly blackened.
(The sugar in the chili sauce will blacken quickly)
Return to pan with sauce and bake 400 for 40 min.
Top with sliced green onion if using.

💜  Very tender and tasty chicken!  I used onion and ground ginger.  Serve with rice.
