1) 2 1/4 t instant yeast (or active dry yeast - only for oven version)
2) 2 2/3 c flour
3) 2 1/4 t sugar
4) 1 1/2 t salt
5) 8 T butter
6) 3 eggs
7) 3/4 c water at room temp
8) 1/2 c Swiss cheese, diced fine
For Bread Machine-
Add 1) to 7) to bread machine pan.
Add 8) at end of 1st knead.
For Oven-
Sprinkle 1) over 7) let sit 10 min.
Place 2) - 4) in Kitchen Aid Mixer with dough hook.
Add yeast mix and 5) & 6) mix 5 min low.
Mix on med 10 min till smooth and elastic adding 8) near end.
Rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours in buttered covered bowl.
Turn out dough to a floured surface, shape into loaf.
Place loaf in buttered loaf pan and cover with a dish towel. Allow to
rise in a warm place until doubled in size, approximately 1 hour.
Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.
