Buttery, Garlicky Oven-Fried Chicken
1) 2 heads of garlic
2) 6 chicken legs
3) 3/4 c fine bread crumbs
4) 3/4 c panko bread crumbs
5) 2 T Montreal chicken seasoning
6) 1 t seasoning salt
7) 1/2 t pepper
8) 1 T parsley, freeze dried
9) 1 c flour
10) 3 eggs
11) 1/2 c melted butter
Oven 350.
Separate 1) into cloves, cut lengthwise.
Pierce chicken with sharp knife 4 times, fill hole with a slice of garlic.
Fill 3 dredging containers.
Flour in 1.
Beat 10) with 2T water in another.
Mix 3) to 8) in last one.
Pour 11) in baking dish, add 1/2 of rest of split garlic cloves.
Dredge each chicken leg in flour, egg, crumbs.
Place top side down in butter.
Sprinkle rest of garlic cloves around chicken.
Bake 45 mins.
Flip chicken over.
Bake another 20 - 30 mins till done thru.
