Lasagna alla Besciamella
1) 4 T olive oil
2) 1 lg or 2 med onion, fine chop
3) 1 head garlic, pressed
4) 3 lb gr beef or beef and Italian pork mix
5) 2 T freeze dried basil + parsley
6) 2 T Italian or Greek seasoning
7) 1 T seasoning salt + 1/2 t pepper
8) 1 can whole San Marzano tomatoes + 2-3 T tomato paste
9) 1 c red wine (optional)
10) 1/2 c butter
11) 1/2 c flour
12) 3 c milk
13) 1 t salt
14) 1 pkg fresh wide no-cook noodles
15) 2 1/2 pkg Italiano shredded cheese
16) 1 500gr container ricotta cheese
17) 2 large eggs
Saute 1) to 3) 8 min till soft.
Add 4) to 7) saute till meat browned.
Add 3) 8) and 9) simmer low.
Melt 10) add 11)
Add 12) and 13), cook and stir till thick.
Mix 15) to 17) saving some shredded for top.
Layer in oiled pan, meat sauce, noodles, besciamella, cheese mix for 4 layers.
Alternate direction of noodles with each layer.
Bake 350 uncovered 45 min to 1 hr
