Lemon Meringue Cheesecake


1)  2/3 c butter
2)  1/2 c sugar
3)  1 3/4 c flour
4)  3 - 8oz pkg cream cheese, soft
5)  1 c sour cream
6)  1 c sugar
7)  4 eggs
8)  1/4 c lemon juice
9)  1 t vanilla
10)  zest of 2 lemons
11)  1 1/2 c lemon curd
12)  4 eggs whites
13)  1/4 c sugar
14)  1/4 t cream of tartar

With hand mixer beat  1)
Add  2)
Gradually add  3)  to fine crumbs
Press lightly into bottom only of  9" springform pan
Oven 350 bake 22 mins till firm, dry and golden around edges, cool

With hand mixer beat together  4)  to  6)
Add  7)  to  10)
Pour over crust
Oven 325 bake 60 - 70 mins till set in middle
Cool to room temp, chill 3 - 4 hours.

Spread  11)  over top

With hand mixer beat  12)  to soft peaks
Add  13)  &  14) beat to stiff peaks
Spoon over top, pulling up peaks
Oven 375 bake 10 mins till meringue is golden on peaks
